How do I enable SMTP Authentication in Microsoft Outlook?
For most of the later version of Outlook, enabling SMTP Authentication can be done by following these steps:
1.From theOutlook Menu Barclick onTools.
2. Click onE-mail Accounts.
3. Select the radio button forView or change existing e-mail accounts.
4. Click on theNextbutton.
5. Highlight your email account and clickChange…
6. Click on theMore Settings…button.
7. Click on theOutgoing Servertab.
8. Check the box forMy outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
9. Select the radio button forUse same settings as my incoming mail server.
10. Click theOKbutton.
