There are two requirements for a domain name to automatically renew:
1. The domain name must have the auto-renew setting enabled. By default all domain names are set to auto-renew, so the only reason for renewal to not happen automatically will be the case where a client has specifically disabled auto-renew. If you would like to check the status of auto-renew on your domains, simply log in to the domain name area of your MediaServe account and in the list of domains there is an Auto Renew column displaying the status, either Enabled or Disabled. To change the auto-renewal status, click the Manage Domain button to the right and then visit the Auto Renew tab in your domain details.
2. You must have a credit or deibt card stored on your account that can be charged for the auto-renewal. To check or update your stored card, visit the payment method page of your MediaServe account.
If your domain name is set to auto-renew, we will generate an auto-renewal notice 7 days before the expiration date. If you have a chargeable credit or debit card on your account, the auto-renewal invoice will be charged 6 days later on the day before expiration, thereby renewing the domain name.
If for any reason you wish to renew your domains earlier and not wait for auot-renew, manual renewals can be performed here.
