How do I synchronize Outlook 2010 or earlier with your business class e-mail service?

Our business class e-mail service uses Exchange Web Services to synchronise data to Outlook 2011 or later. Earlier version of Outlook use MAPI to talk to the mail server, which we do not support. For earlier version of Outlook you can still synchronize all data, by following these steps:

1. Download the Funambol Outlook Sync Client from your business class e-mail service details within your account. (Note: We will soon support MAPI for better integration of Outlook 2010!)

2. Install the client by double-clicking on the downloaded file and completing the installation wizard.

3. After the install is complete, the Funambol Outlook Sync Client will open.

4. To configure the sync settings, go to Tools and Options.

5. Enter https://mail.activesend.com/sync/default.aspx as the server location.

5. Enter your full email address in the username field.

6. Enter your email password in the appropriate field.

7. Click the Sync icon to select which items should be synchronized (Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes) and to schedule a sync interval.

8. Click OK.

9. Launch Outlook.

10. If you wish to synchronize all data, click Funambol in the menu bar and select Sync All. This will open the Funambol Outlook Sync Client window and begin syncing your data. If you wish to only sync specific items, click Funambol in the menu bar and select Go To. Then select the item you would to sync.

11. When the process is complete, close the Funambol Outlook Sync Client window.
